Hiatus

For the next three weeks I'll not be posting at all, as I have undertaken an intense course of study for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).

Back after June 16, ready to have some FUN and cut loose, no doubt.

See you then!

Hi Robert, good luck with that test. As you probably already know, I too had the option of either Law School or the more traditional route. I chose the latter; will take the GRE Exam soon, get my Masters and then the Ph.D

See you later...

Is it true every time you take a law course you lose a little bit of your soul?

Hi Liquideggproduct, I have never considered that group particularly ethical. In fact, I consider them without ethics entirely.

Hopefully, Robert knows what he is doing. I do not know if you have any experience with the game Dungeons and Dragons, but the Modern Lawyers remind me of a "Thieves Guild" you might find in that game.

It should be incredibly obvious in our society now that the way they steal money from others these days is with lawsuits, often frivolous in nature.

One thing is certain, everyone lawyer I ever met was an asshole and when he wasn't, he seemed to be proud of being some variation of it!

I suspect that if the Bible turns out to be correct, that this group is "walking dead" and probably cannot hope for a resurrection in the end times.

But that is only my suspicion and not the views of everyone. However, I seriously doubt that an Almighty God condones this type of activity.

It would probably be better for them if there was no God at all and judging by their actions, this is what they believe. For if it were otherwise, they would cease with this line of behavior.

At any rate, they're probably already dead, which means your instincts are good for a dead soul is not a living soul by any stretch of the imagination.

@LEP--it depends on the course; the one about Public Interest Law gives you back some of the soul you lost during Contracts.

@Eric--The contrast between your first and second comments is fascinating. If you considered Law School an "option" I guess you were tempted to sell your soul, too, at least a little. That's the whole point of those Faustian tales, even the good are tempted...

Hi Robert, you're right and it is not a typo. I did consider it and I know Marlowe's "Dr. Faustus" pretty well.

It is a tough call, but in the end, I made the right one, at least for me anyway. If I did go that route, the D.A.'s office would interest me.

There's always contrast, but hopefully, we are not ignorant to it.

Good luck Robert!

Hope you did well on the LSAT. You would be a valuable asset to the legal community and hopefully you will choose to use your powers for good (aka: D.A.'s office)!
