An Instructive Mistake
My Red Hot Pawn rating is now at 1741, the highest I've achieved--but let's give Luck it's due in the equation...

ReplyDeleteThat's what I came up with, Samurai. This is a variant of a motif I hadn't really noticed until I started doing CTS and CT-Art. Both of white's back rank rooks are attacked by rook and queen. Neither can capture its attacker or the other hangs with mate. Anybody got a name for this motif?
